Dries van Coller Safaris is owned and operated by myself (Dries) and my wife Ilze van Coller. I have always and will always justify my existence as a hunter based on respect for nature that serves a purpose and not selfish justification. What I always try to convey to my hunting guests is: Enjoy the hunt, learn from the experience and respect the animal that ultimately becomes your trophy, which is a living memory, reminding you of a wonderful safari.
I have been in the hunting industry for many years and have served on the Executive Board of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa, whereof I was Vice-President of the Organisation and Chairman of the Conservation Fund. Over and above the fact that I am a qualified Professional Hunter & Outfitter, I am also a SCI Master Measurer, Rowland Ward Measurer and a qualified National tour guide. I also have a qualification in Business Management. First and foremost is my love for this beautiful country and its’ amazing fauna & flora.
My wife Ilze handles the Office Administration and Finances, working from our home office whilst also raising our Autistic son, Reuben. Ilze has been in this industry with me for nearly 13-years. She has a qualification in Marketing and Accounting. She understands the business and whilst I am hunting she is able to handle all enquiries, quotations and be of assistance to our clients.
We are based in Hartebeestpoort, North West Province, however have hunting areas all over South Africa, which enables us to offer our clients a diversity of species and experiences – all depending on the client’s requirements.
